The woman’s name was Penny D.
At the time, I had started working in real estate on the side, and met this lady …
Her Mom was elderly & had owned her West Palm home outright for quite some time, but the home had some issues the family wasn’t in a position to take care of.
I can remember the first time my car slowly came to a stop as I pulled into the driveway of her mom’s old home. More than a decade of deferred maintenance and a yard that hadn’t been tended to in who knows how long gave the home a tired look.
At first, I was just there to give helping guidance.
I told Penny “In order to put it on the market you’ll need to clean it out, put on a new roof, new windows, fix the floors, update the kitchen and bathrooms. Also, clear out the yard and put in new sod, landscaping, & resurface the driveway.”
“Ok, what will that cost me?”
“It’s a rough estimate but I’d say around $80,000 to $90,000 but the house will be like new then,” I said.
She was devastated. There was no way they could do that.
And it hit me.
I COULD DO THAT. I could upfront all the repair costs, and then make it all up on the sale. I had the cash flow and the business structure and all the resources to make this happen for them.
And I saw this was the salvation I was seeking. A life where I could live AND serve well.
Before making any kind of deal, I spent several days with Penny, mapping out all of the different options and solutions that were unique to her and her family.
I knew no matter what, I had to help Penny and make sure they could have what they wanted and needed in life, even if they decided not to do business with me.
In the end, Penny and her family decided to work with me and my team. We spent $90,000 and 9 months fixing up her home before finally selling it like new.
And that’s why I found myself, on that hot morning, telling my Chief Pilot I would never fly again, because this work was too important.
Since that day that I left the office, my business partner, Eitan & I have helped over 20 families just like Penny’s.
Each experience has been different, but we handle each story as though it is our own - with a customized approach so that you don’t have to risk your money or time.
In the end, our duty is to provide for you, as we did for Penny, her mom, and family - who decided that their best solution was to sell the family home to someone she knew would carry the burden, so she could focus on what was most important to her - quality time with her family.
I remember the day she had her check in hand like it was yesterday.
Tears were streaming down her face as she said - Thank you.
This work for me is all about helping people who really need it to get what they desire out of life through the selling of their home.
If you think it’d be helpful to YOU and your situation, I’d like to invite you to schedule a meeting with me on this page.
I look forward to speaking with you, and helping you in whatever way I can.
